Day Two: Murchison Falls National Park
Early breakfast and prepare to begin your bespoke Uganda Safari, meet your guide at the lobby and transfer to Murchison Falls National park approx. 300 km/5 hrs northwest of Kampala via Bombo town with a stopover for lunch in Masindi town.
Or After breakfast, meet your guide at the lobby and transfer to Entebbe International airport for your Scheduled flight @ 08.30hrs to Pakuba Airstrip. Approx 1 hr. 40 Min flight. On arrival, transfer (20 minutes) to the Para Safari Lodge for check in and Lunch.
On the driving option, once in the park drive to the top of the falls, here you will see the calm Nile forcing itself through a narrow 8 meter gorge to fall a distance of about 150 ft (40m) down producing a thunderous roar of white water- incredible scenery! Cross over to the northern bank by ferry and Check in at Parra lodge.
Day Three: Murchison Falls National Park
Arise at dawn with coffee/ tea and snacks then depart for an early morning game drive to catch up with the predators and early risers – like jackals, hyenas, giraffe, lion, antelope, elephant, Uganda kob, baboons, velvet monkeys, Jackson’s hartebeest, herds of buffalo, bushbucks, warthogs, waterbucks, etc. Return to lodge for a late breakfast and relax before lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a launch boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of Murchison Falls, an opportunity to animals like wallowing buffaloes, schools of hippos, large Nile crocodiles, elephants and plenty of water birds like fish eagles and various storks. Disembark at the bottom of the falls and hike to its top where the calm Nile perfects its beauty – forcing its mighty self through a narrow 8 meter gorge to fall a distance of about 150 ft in a thunderous roar of white water – absolutely incredible scenery!

Day Four : Kidepo Valley National park
After breakfast transfer to Kidepo National Park, approx 7 hours, drive through Gulu Town, with a stopover for Lunch at Boma Hotel in Kitgum Town, Continue your Journey to Kidepo. Check in for dinner and overnight at APOKA SAFARI LODGE (FB)
Day Five: Kidepo Valley National park
After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring then return to the lodge for lunch.In the afternoon you can choose to have a guided walk in the park or a cultural experience that will bring you into contact with the Karamojong peoples at Karenna and Kapedo – meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them. They will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting cultural items. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day Six: Entebbe
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Kampala approx 12hrs drive with a stopover for lunch in Gulu Town, continue to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
Or After breakfast, have a game Drive and transfer to Apoka airstrip for your scheduled flight 10.00 O’clock to Entebbe, Approx 1.45 hour’s flight. Upon arrival at Entebbe International airport, Continue for your departure flight.

Lake Victoria Serena Kampala

Apoka Safari Lodge Kidepo Valley National Park
Apoka Lodge, the only lodge in Kidepo Valley National Park is perched atop a huge kopje with 360° views across the endless savannah. Guests’ accommodation comprises of 10 spacious and extremely comfortable wood, thatch and canvas cottages. Raised on a wooden platform, they include an inside sitting/lounge area, private veranda, en-suite bathrooms with double sink and large tropical shower supplied with plenty of solar heated water and an outdoor bathtub. Everything is handmade by local craftsmen; natural canvas walls, big hand-hewn beds with soft duvets and draped with mosquito nets, hand-woven woolen carpets, extra large plush towels, oversized dressing gowns, etc. The interiors and amenities complement the natural surroundings – cream and chocolate carpets, plush white towels, Egyptian cotton bed linens, etc. All rooms have electric (solar) lights and power points. Murchison Falls National Park
At the dramatic Murchison Falls, the worlds longest river explodes through a narrow, 7m cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43M below. In the lush borassus grassland north of the Nile, elephant, buffalo, giraffe and a variety of antelope are regularly encountered. In the southeast, Rabongo Forest is home to chimpanzees and other rainforest creatures while the River Nile itself hosts one of Africas densest hippo and crocodile populations. Add a dazzling variety of water-birds, including the worlds most accessible wild population of the rare shoebill stork, and Welcome! to Murchison Falls National Park; an untamed African savannah bisected east to west, for 115 kms, by the mighty river Nile.
Situated approx. 300 kms/5 hrs northwest of Kampala, this 3,840 km² park spreading inland from the shores of Lake Albert around the Victoria Nile is Ugandas largest National Park. And the only one where all of the ‘Big Five’ are to be found; buffalo, elephant, lion and occasional leopard seen above the Nile while rhinos are being bred in a sanctuary south of the park – 40 to 50 of them are lined up for release into the wild by around 2040. Together with the adjacent 748 km² Bugungu Wildlife Reserve and the 720 km² Karuma Wildlife Reserve, the park is part of the greater, 5,308 km², Murchison Falls Conservation Area.
Special activities include launch trips to the base of the falls, Boat trips to the Lake Albert delta, Chimpanzee tracking at Rabongo Forest and Budongo Forest en-route from Masindi plus regular game Viewing drives.
Kidepo Valley National Park North Eastern Uganda
The 1,442 km² Kidepo Valley National Park is tucked away into the north eastern corner of Uganda’s border with Sudan and Kenya approx. 700 kms from Kampala. Transected by Rivers Kidepo and Naurus and well fed with ample rainfall, Kidepo is an oasis in the semi-desert; unsurpassed scenery, dense Acacia geradi forest along Lorupei River and breathtaking savannah landscapes dominated by Mt. Morungole (2750m). The park’s extremely diverse flora and fauna includes over 500 species of birds and over 80 mammals species, (28 of which do not occur anywhere else in Ugandan), including the bat-eared fox, striped hyena, cheetah and leopard, aardwolf, caracal, hunting dogs, elephants, zebra, bush pigs, warthog, Rothschild giraffe, buffalo, eland, bushbuck, bush duskier, defassa water buck, bohor reed buck, Jackson’s hartebeest and oribi as well as tree climbing lions; game viewing could never be better. Less common residents include the greater and lesser kudu, Chandlers Mountain reedbuck, klipspringer.
Activities include: Hiking on Lamoj Mountains just a few kilometers from the Park HQs, sightseeing at the splendid Kidepo River Valley dominated by Borassus palm forest, the Kanangorok Hot Springs, located only 11 km from Kidepo river valley and Cultural Performances such as the Emuya of the Naporre and Nyangia ethnic groups and Larakaraka and Apiti dances of the Acholi.
